Electric Thwaites 3-ton dumper with rotating +/-90° tipping bucket
Thwaites expands its range of high-performance electric solutions for construction sites with increased requirements for low emissions and noise. The Thwaites 3-ton electric dumper with a ±90° rotating bucket is designed for operation in confined spaces, urban environments, and sites with limited access, offering zero local emissions, quiet operation, and precise unloading.
CARRYING CAPACITY AND BUCKET
With a maximum allowable payload of 3000 kg and a bucket volume of 990 liters, the Thwaites 3-ton electric dumper provides excellent capacity for daily transport tasks. The hydraulically driven Power Swivel bucket with 180° rotation (±90°) allows unloading to the left and right without additional maneuvering, significantly enhancing efficiency and safety at work.
ELECTRIC DRIVE AND PERFORMANCE
The machine features a 48V electric drive - a high-efficiency 22 kW motor for movement and a 7 kW motor for the hydraulic pump. Power is supplied by four 48V lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 5.75 kWh, ensuring reliable, quiet, and environmentally friendly operation, suitable for sensitive areas and enclosed spaces.
TRANSMISSION AND SPEEDS
The electric transmission with high and low speed ranges and a direction selection lever mounted on the column provides smooth and intuitive control. Operating speeds reach up to 8.0 km/h in low range and up to 16.1 km/h in high range, making the machine flexible and easy to position on site.
CHASSIS, STABILITY, AND SAFETY
The robust Kinglink chassis made of bent steel construction with three-point articulation and oscillation provides excellent stability and traction on uneven terrain. Fully enclosed multi-disc oil brakes on the rear axle with automatic wear compensation, as well as the SAHR manual parking brake, ensure safe and controlled operation.
COMFORT, SERVICE, AND EQUIPMENT
The operator area includes an adjustable suspension seat with a seatbelt, as well as LED indicators for all critical functions. Excellent service access from ground level facilitates daily maintenance, and all electrical components are protected to IP65/67. Standard equipment includes full LED road lighting with daytime running lights, LED beacons, a tow hitch, and a reverse alarm. Optional road mirrors and wheel nut indicators are available.
